The aim of the organization is to improve the economic conditions of the area while retaining the quality of life and the country atmosphere.

To achieve this aim, the organization pursues the following strategies:

Attract small business and entrepreneurs
Promote the "Quality of Life"

The original corporation was created by representatives of the villages of Athens and Westport and the townships of Bastard and South Burgess, Kitley, North Crosby, South Crosby, South Elmsley, and Rear of Leeds and Lansdowne.
